The Whitireia Childcare Centre is situated at the Porirua campus and provides high-quality education and dedicated care to all families

We offer competitive fees and support families/whānau with subsidies. Whitireia Childcare Centre offers 20 ECE hours of early childhood education to all 3 and 4 year old's. Some families are also entitled to a childcare subsidy through Work and Income New Zealand.

Hours of Operation

Monday – Friday, 7:45 am to 5:00 pm

Free Hours

We provide 20 free hours for 3-5-year-olds, paid by the Ministry of Education 

Please phone 04 237 7842 for an enrolment form as we are fully booked most of each year.

Minimum Hours Required

Students: No less than 25 hours for each child
Staff/Community: No less than 30 hours for each child
