This course is a level 3 and level 4 course in anatomy and physiology of the human body. It is designed to give a pathway for students to follow further study in health or prepare them for careers in the health field. Students will build their knowledge from microbiology up through to the systems of the body. This will involve theory and practical learning both as individuals and groups. This course would be recommended for students who are serious about studying in a health-related field or following a career in the health industry.

Hours: 9:00am – 2:30pm (half hour lunch)
Equipment: Protective clothing and safety equipment is provided if appropriate
Travel: This is provided free, subject to students meeting MoE requirements
Dates: This course is two cohorts taught across two dates.
Application: Students must be enrolled in a secondary school in the Wellington region and be enrolled in a WTA course by their secondary school
Interview: Students may be requested to attend an interview with a family member or school representative
Qualification: NCEA Level 3 with credit towards Vocational Pathways award
Credits: On successful completion of this course, students will have gained 21 credits (6 Level 3 credits with 15 Level 4 Credits).
