NCEA (Level 2) - Vocational Pathway Manufacturing and Technology Sector

Sample a range of skills within the automotive and mechanical engineering industries, while gaining NCEA Level 2 at the same time. Students will learn about engines, brake systems, machining, panel and paint, metalwork and fastening. Learn how to safely use and maintain tools, make calculations and choose materials to complete projects. After completing this programme, students can then go on to study their trade of choice.

What you will learn

Gain NCEA Level 2 and the skills needed to work in an entry-level position in the automotive, motor body, or engineering industries.

  • Starter skills for the automotive and mechanical engineering industries

  • Produce engineering sketches

  • Health and safety

*Classes for this programme are from Monday to Thursday, 9:00am - 3:00pm.
