Learn the introductory skills needed to progress on to an engineering apprenticeship. This programme teaches you how to carry out engineering tasks, and the importance of health and safety. You’ll also get to work on a range of projects, using relevant tools, machinery and materials.
Build on your already extensive mechanical engineering skills. This apprenticeship programme allows you to study while continuing to work with your employer. Specialise in fabrication processes and become a fully qualified mechanical engineer.

Gain in-demand mechanical engineering skills in our workshops, where you'll learn to operate equipment currently used by industry.
Our workshops are set up for students to do welding, machining, fabrication and fitting. Our main workshop has a range of equipment, plus there are specialised facilities with CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and cutter grinders. There are drill presses, a hydraulic press, a 16mm plate guillotine and benches with MIG Tech, arc, and oxyacetylene welding.
